At Maroon Bells we pride ourselves on customer experience.  Our is equipped to provide tours and one on one Q&A with our chocolatiers and the master candy maker.  With making chocolate by hand we are able the best products and to able to see how the process works is a treat all within it's own.  To top it off we provide free samples and great customer service.  Most of the employees with Maroon Bells have worked together for about 10 years and it's a fun family atmosphere.  We strive to provide everyone with Willy Wonka type of experience.

Chocolate and psychology

Ever curious as to why when you eat chocolate you feel a bit more happier, more satisfied, move love. . .?  Well this is because science tells us that chocolate does have the capabilities of increasing blood flow and releasing your endorphins.  With that being said you should make your way down to a Maroon Bells store have a taste you will more than likely be leaving us a bit happier than when you came in!!!

DARK CHOCOLATE is Good Chocolate

Are you worried that you might be eating too much chocolate this holiday season . .  . Well, please let me shed some light on your battle between indulging in some deliciousness that is Maroon Bells chocolate or wanting to keep your winter weight off.  The magic words are Flavonoids and Flavanols . . . to explain its a group of chemical compounds that has antioxidant properties that come from plants.

(Already sounds great huh and yet there is more)

These plant properties promote several extremely beneficial effects within the cardiovascular system.  One extremely beneficial effect includes decreasing oxidation of LDL cholesterol (in civil conversations this means) better blood flow which means a lower risk of blood cots which also means a lower chance of getting a strokes and/or heart attack.

Before chocolate is chocolate it comes to us from the seeds of the tropical tree, Theobroma cacao.  In history the Greeks used the term 'food of the gods' to describe Theobroma.  Back then chocolate was thought of as a delicacy, a privilege and a honor.  It was a rarity that one would be able to indulge in such a pleasure as chocolate that when it was given as a gift you must have been held in the highest regardes by your giver.  Over time we have been given the pleasure of having this decadent treat whenever we want . . . waiting in line at the grocery store, while getting gas and on break at work.  Many companies have attempted to explore the wondrous delights that chocolate can make, but there are only a few companies that have taken this ingredient and become artist.  Using it as if the thought of it's rarity still existed and provided it with nurturing complexity that is the existence of chocolate.
